About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Kitchen Manager to join our team at the Holiday Inn Leeds Garforth. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen function, managing office administration, and partnering with other leaders to enhance guest service.

About You

  • You must have previous experience in managing kitchen operations in compliance with all standards and regulations;
  • A proven track record of successfully leading teams and achieving business objectives;
  • The ability to motivate and develop a team of Line Chefs, creating a positive work culture and meeting brand and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the kitchen function, ensuring Health & Food Safety compliance;
  2. Manage office administration, including financial management, staff supervision, and maintaining accurate records;
  3. Partner with other leaders to enhance guest service, resolve issues, and improve overall customer satisfaction;
  4. Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs;
  5. Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and hygiene in the kitchen;
  6. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication;
  7. Maintain accurate records, including inventory management, staff performance, and customer feedback.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in hospitality or a related field;
  • Previous experience in managing kitchen operations, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment;
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and motivating a team;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, guests, and external partners;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and implement effective solutions;
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols, including food safety and hygiene practices;
  • Basic IT skills, with experience using software applications such as Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.

Salary Information

Estimated salary range: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
