Primary Care Clinical Pharmacist for Children and Young People

We are looking for a talented Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at HertsOne Ltd, a GP Federation delivering services across Primary Care in South and West Hertfordshire. As a Clinical Pharmacist in this role, you will manage and co-ordinate clinical pharmacist-led ADHD clinics, provide updates to supervising GPs on pharmaceutical interventions, and adjust drug treatment accordingly.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to take a lead role in monitoring patients with ADHD diagnoses on medication through clinical pharmacist-led clinics, communicating changes to other team members, and giving guidance on pharmaceutical treatment of children and young people up to the age of 18.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CYP legislation and relevant mental health legislation, as well as experience in maintaining effective clinical records both written and electronic. A sound understanding of theoretical frameworks underpinning behaviour and knowledge of children's mental health and child development are also essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and co-ordinating clinical pharmacist-led ADHD clinics
  • Providing updates to supervising GPs on pharmaceutical interventions
  • Adjusting drug treatment accordingly
  • Maintaining effective clinical records
  • Monitoring patients with ADHD diagnoses on medication
  • Communicating changes to other team members
  • Giving guidance on pharmaceutical treatment of children and young people

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
