The position of Executive Director of Marine Research and Finance offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's strategic direction and financial sustainability. As a key member of the Board of Trustees, you will work closely with the Chief Executive and Executive Team to drive business growth and ensure the charity's long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting in the best interests of the charity and maintaining financial sustainability
  • Assisting the organization at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Helping to understand risk and challenging the Executive Team
  • Active membership of the Audit and Finance Committee
  • Ensuring appropriate financial controls and governance are in place
Requirements

This role requires a qualified accountant working at Director level, with experience in the third sector and an understanding of investments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels are essential. Additionally, a deep understanding of corporate governance and financial management is required.
