About Ignition Collective

We are a forward-thinking agency that excels in delivering exceptional marketing and client service solutions. Our team is committed to fostering partnerships that inspire creativity and drive results in the dynamic world of sport, automotive, and special projects.

Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Account Manager – Events with a solid background in event and hospitality management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing world-class events and hospitality experiences as part of a global sponsorship program for a leading OEM in Formula One.

The role involves end-to-end event management, from initial planning and budgeting to on-site execution and post-event evaluation. You will deliver premium on-track and off-track hospitality, corporate events, and activations that align with the client's sponsorship strategy and brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all aspects of event logistics for Formula One race weekends and other client-related events, including VIP hospitality, partner activations, product showcases, Pirelli hot laps, drive events, displays, and corporate entertainment.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams (creative, production, client services, comms) and external suppliers to ensure all event elements are aligned with the client's goals and sponsorship objectives.
  • Work closely with the client to develop bespoke event experiences, ensuring their brand values are effectively communicated through every touchpoint.
  • Oversee the delivery of premium hospitality experiences for VIP guests, including access to Paddock Club, team garages, passenger rides, and exclusive behind-the-scenes tours.
  • Create and manage guest lists, schedules, invitations, and attendee communications, ensuring a seamless and personalised experience.
  • Coordinate travel, accommodation, and other logistical elements for key stakeholders, guests, and partners.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for events during events, ensuring the smooth execution of all components.
  • Manage on-the-ground event teams, suppliers, and vendors to deliver exceptional experiences, resolving any issues that arise in real-time.
  • Ensure brand consistency and the highest level of service throughout all on-site activations and hospitality areas.
  • Develop and manage detailed event budgets, ensuring all costs are accurately tracked and kept within financial parameters.
  • Work closely with the finance team to monitor expenses, approve payments, and reconcile post-event costs.
  • Ensure all resources, including staffing, materials, and services, are allocated effectively and efficiently for each event.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers, venues, F1 teams, rights holders, and local event organisers.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including the client services team, to ensure clear communication and alignment across all event deliverables.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure the best terms and ensure high-quality services and products for each event.
  • Ensure all events adhere to health and safety regulations, both locally and internationally, managing risk assessments and insurance requirements as needed.
  • Work with venues and suppliers to ensure all safety protocols are in place, especially for high-profile VIP guests and large-scale events.
  • Prepare detailed post-event reports that evaluate the success of each activation, including feedback from attendees, client insights, and key performance metrics.
  • Identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance future events, delivering actionable insights to the broader team.
  • Manage post-event debriefs with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring continuous improvement in event delivery.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate individual with a minimum of 5 years of event management experience, ideally within motorsport, sports marketing, or luxury hospitality. Proven track record in delivering large-scale, high-profile events and VIP hospitality for global brands is essential. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are also required, along with a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £45-50k per year, dependent on experience. You will also have the opportunity to make an impact and develop your career in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Other benefits include flexible working hours, two wellness days per year, and your birthday off.
