**Job Title:** Autism Learning Support Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Autism Learning Support Assistant in a specialist school for students with Autism, Severe and complex needs.
**About the Role:**
- This is a full-time opportunity to work 5 days a week within the school or college provision, covering PPA across a range of classes, supporting students with SLD, PMLD, Autism to help improve engagement, interaction and raise attainment.
- You will work closely with parents to ensure what is carried out at school is continued at home.
- A friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build up strong relationships and rapport with individual children is essential.
- The school will play to your strengths regarding subjects/specialisms.
- If you are a graduate and would be interested in future teaching, the school is open to progressing you through their teacher training programme.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with Autism, Severe and complex needs in a classroom setting
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with students, parents and staff
- Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
- Monitoring student progress and reporting to teachers and parents
**Requirements:
- Graduate status (or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with students, parents and staff
- Patient and understanding approach to support students with special needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiasm and passion for working with children and young people
**Salary and Benefits:**
- Competitive salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
- Full-time, temporary to permanent opportunity
