We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join us as a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant. This is a full-time opportunity in Brentwood, providing tailored support to children with autism and other unique needs.

About the Role:
  • Nurture and develop strong relationships with pupils, offering personalized support to help them succeed academically and personally.
  • Assist in learning by supporting children with Autism, Asperger's, ADHD, and other SEN needs in lessons, ensuring they understand subjects.
  • Demonstrate practical strategies to engage and motivate pupils, providing emotional and behavioral support as needed.
  • Lunchtime assistance: ensure children feel included, supported, and happy throughout the school day.
Requirements:
  • Experience or interest in SEN: you may already have experience working with children with autism, ADHD, speech or language difficulties, or cerebral palsy. If not, an interest in this field is valuable.
  • Resilience and adaptability: be flexible, adaptable, and able to handle changes in the daily routine with ease.
  • Strong communication skills: liaise with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • A good standard of English and Mathematics is essential.
  • Basic computer skills will be useful.
  • Previous experience working with challenging behavior is desirable, but training can be provided if you're new to this field.
  • Ongoing professional development to help you grow in your career.
