About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in a specialist school for children with autism and associated needs. The school offers education to children aged 7-17 years who have high-functioning autism and are academically able. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work throughout the school supporting students and planning and leading interventions for small groups.
Key Responsibilities:
• Experience of working with young people with SEMH, Autism, behavioural issues, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication
• HLTA or Tutor experience - leading small groups
• Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
• A passion for working with young people with SEND
