A nurturing SEN school in Brentwood is seeking an experienced SEN Support Worker to join their team. As a key member of the support staff, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs.

About the Role

In this full-time permanent position, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student's unique needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to students with learning and social challenges
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to deliver targeted interventions and promote student engagement
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and caregivers to ensure effective communication and collaboration
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £28,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including comprehensive training opportunities, ongoing professional development, and access to our employee assistance program.

Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in an SEN or support role is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to learning challenges
  • A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is essential to ensure the safety and security of all students
