About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Systems Engineer to join our growing team at D-Orbit. As a key member of our system engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and development of spacecraft systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of system architecture and subsystems design
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to design and develop spacecraft systems
  • Support the procurement team in scouting new technologies and procuring flight parts
  • Interface with the manufacturing team and AIV team to define test plans and procedures
  • Support the flight ops team in defining operational plans and procedures

Requirements

  • Knowledge of System Engineering principles and system-level knowledge of all spacecraft subsystems
  • Knowledge of data busses architectures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team
  • Experience in the use of Matlab and Python
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Mission analysis tool (GMAT/orekit)
  • Working experience in space transportation and servicing applications
  • DOORS / Jama requirements experience
  • Knowledge of Linux

Education

  • University degree (Masters) preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering

Language

  • This role requires professional proficiency in English
