We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our Infection Prevention and Control Team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

The successful candidate will be a registered healthcare professional with experience in infection prevention and control, who can demonstrate a strong passion for ensuring the highest standards in patient safety.

As an Infection Prevention Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Infection Prevention Service for Primary and Secondary care across the health economy, while promoting and sustaining the HABITS campaign.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with healthcare professionals across various disciplines to provide expertise on infection prevention issues.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting the leadership and management of the Infection Prevention Service for Primary and Secondary care across the health economy
  • Promoting and sustaining the HABITS campaign
  • Working closely with healthcare professionals across various disciplines to provide expertise on infection prevention issues
  • Acting as an inspirational role model to preserve patient safety and share knowledge and experiences with junior staff

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be a registered healthcare professional with experience in infection prevention and control. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential. Please note that we will only consider applications from current employees of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.


Working Arrangements

This is a full-time role, and the successful candidate will be required to work a standard 37.5 hour week. You will be based at our headquarters in North Wales, and will be required to travel to various locations across the region as part of your duties.
