Job Title: Administrative Support Assistant

The University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Administrative Support Assistant. This exciting opportunity involves providing clerical and administrative support within the Royal Eye Infirmary.

Main Responsibilities:
• Assist the reception team by adding waiting lists, collating notes, processing outcomes, and prepping case notes.
• Deal with telephone and verbal enquiries from patients, relatives, consultants, other departments, and GP practices in a courteous manner, seeking advice when required.
• Actively manage patients on a referral to treatment pathway, using the referral to treatment primary target list.

Person Specification:
• Computer literate (desirable)
• Demonstrable experience working with people (essential)
• Ability to work in a team environment (essential)
• Demonstrable experience in customer service environment (desirable)
• Good communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity, and effectiveness at all levels (essential)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential)
• Good time management skills & organisational skills (essential)
• Willingness to undertake further training and development (essential)
• Positive attitude (essential)
• Can use own initiative whilst under the direction of a supervisor (essential)
