The role of a D1 Driver involves safely transporting special educational needs (SEN) children for the London Borough of Richmond and the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure vehicles are fit for purpose and safe for transport.
- Meet agreed collection, drop-off, and journey times.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all passengers.
- Work effectively with the passenger assistant.

To be a successful D1 Driver, you will be passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. You will demonstrate evidence of putting children and young people first, focusing on quality and a high standard of service delivery, championing inclusion and valuing diversity, and experience of working with vulnerable children and young people.
