Role Overview

Folkestone Primary Kindergarten seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Support Specialist to join its team. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young children's learning and development.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong early years qualification, have a keen interest in supporting children's learning, and be able to build positive relationships with both children and parents.

Responsibilities
  • Support the teaching staff in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the children.
  • Provide individualized support to children, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting children's learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, including assessment data and intervention plans.
Requirements
  • A relevant early years qualification (e.g., Diploma in Early Childhood Education).
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the kindergarten.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in early years education.
