Job Description

Job Title: Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) Advisor to join our team at Inside Avenue Recruitment. As an HSQE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and stakeholders, while also promoting a culture of quality and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to stay up-to-date on the latest health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH/NCRQ Level 6 (NVQ Level 5 as a minimum standard) or equivalent qualification in health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Proven experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in a utilities or construction industry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions to health, safety, and environmental challenges.
