Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our team at The Health and Safety Partnership. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and implementing our health and safety management system, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety management system that meets the requirements of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
    • Lead and manage a team of health and safety professionals to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the management system.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with COMAH regulations and other relevant health and safety legislation.
    • Compile and submit reports as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Auditing and Inspection
    • Conduct internal audits of the health and safety management system to identify areas for improvement.
    • Coordinate and participate in external audits and inspections as required.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide guidance, support, and training to employees on health and safety policies and procedures.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely.
  • Incident Investigation
    • Investigate health and safety incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Performance Metrics
    • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure health and safety performance.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate health and safety policies and procedures to employees, management, and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • CMIOSH status or working towards.
    • Degree-level education in a relevant subject.
    • NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent.
    • Recognized auditing qualification in 45001.
  • Experience
    • Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 management systems.
    • Knowledge of COMAH regulations and working environments.
    • Additional knowledge and/or qualifications in associated environmental and quality disciplines.
