We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our team at The Health and Safety Partnership. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and implementing our health and safety management system, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety management system that meets the requirements of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Lead and manage a team of health and safety professionals to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the management system.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with COMAH regulations and other relevant health and safety legislation.
- Compile and submit reports as required by regulatory bodies.
- Auditing and Inspection
- Conduct internal audits of the health and safety management system to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and participate in external audits and inspections as required.
- Training and Development
- Provide guidance, support, and training to employees on health and safety policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely.
- Incident Investigation
- Investigate health and safety incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Performance Metrics
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure health and safety performance.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate health and safety policies and procedures to employees, management, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Qualifications
- CMIOSH status or working towards.
- Degree-level education in a relevant subject.
- NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent.
- Recognized auditing qualification in 45001.
- Experience
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 management systems.
- Knowledge of COMAH regulations and working environments.
- Additional knowledge and/or qualifications in associated environmental and quality disciplines.
We offer a competitive salary of £70k-£80k, plus a comprehensive benefits package including pension, healthcare, and life insurance.
