Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our team at The Health and Safety Partnership. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and implementing our health and safety management system, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Leadership
    • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Lead and manage the health and safety team to ensure effective implementation of health and safety management systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, including COMAH and ISO 45001.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting
    • Investigate and report on health and safety incidents and accidents.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate health and safety information to employees, management, and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure health and safety is integrated into all aspects of the business.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • CMIOSH status or working towards.
    • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
    • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience
    • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining health and safety management systems.
    • Knowledge of COMAH regulations and working environments.
    • Additional knowledge and/or qualifications in associated environmental and quality disciplines beneficial.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to inspire and motivate teams.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
