Hatched Recruitment Group is currently working closely with local authorities to find skilled professionals for the position of Children's Services Youth Justice Professional. This role is part of a multi-agency team aiming to prevent offending by children and young people. The ideal candidate will have experience in Youth Justice and be able to work collaboratively with partner agencies.

About the Role

The Birmingham Youth Offending Service consists of eight teams, each focusing on specific areas such as area-based, court-based, intensive supervision, girls-only, and harmful sexual behaviour teams. The service aims to achieve four main objectives:

  1. Dealing promptly with children in the Youth Justice system without unnecessary delay.
  2. Helping children understand the consequences of their actions for victims, themselves, families, and communities.
  3. Delivering interventions that address factors contributing to risk of offending.
  4. Building effective strategies to reduce crime through collaboration with partner agencies.

We are seeking a dedicated professional who can contribute to this mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Birmingham Youth Offending Service team to implement interventions aimed at preventing offending.
  • Contribute to building effective local strategies to reduce crime among children and young people.
  • Support the development of interventions that tackle factors placing children at risk of offending.

Salary £23 per hour, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
