Job Title: Assistant Merchandiser
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to join our team at Zachary Daniels. As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will play a key role in supporting our Buying team in delivering new and fashion-forward ranges to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade and manage your department to achieve sales and profit targets.
- Identify areas of risk and provide solutions to the Merchandiser to mitigate these risks.
- Maintain the delivery schedule and ensure all deliveries are on track.
- Support the Buying team with the critical path on a weekly, if not daily basis.
- Prepare and analyze trade reports, including daily sales, size curves, stock replenishment, store performance, and general cover.
- Analyze and react to trade reports, proposing transfers, rebuys, and phasing.
- Work collaboratively with the Buying team to achieve business objectives.
- Plan and manage lines to meet sales and profit targets.
- Monitor and protect never out of stock lines and line card projections.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Merchandiser in a similar industry.
- Ability to operate at Assistant Merchandiser level.
- Responsible for own sub-categories.
- Experience in mentoring or managing MAA's.
- Personable and approachable.
- Flexible.
