Job Opportunity: Children and Young People Support Worker

Brook Street Social Care NMR is seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team in delivering support to children and young people in Swansea and surrounding areas.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who want flexibility, extra income, and the chance to gain more experience in the care sector. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing emotional support and companionship to children and young people, as well as aiding in delivering support to meet their personal needs and plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver support to children and young people in a 1:1 or 2:1 setting, as required
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to service users
  • Work with families to provide additional support, as needed
  • Participate in FREE training and development opportunities to expand your skills and experience
Requirements
  • 6 months UK-based care experience in the last year OR a year in the last 5 years
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
  • Willing to undertake personal care
  • Approachable, friendly, proactive, and able to engage with service users
  • Great communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Registered with Social Care Wales
