Disability Support Team Member

Lancashire County Council is committed to providing high-quality services to support adults with learning disabilities in living their lives independently. Our team provides 24/7 support to individuals in their own homes, and we are seeking a dedicated support worker to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily support, including personal care, assistance with managing finances, administering medication, and ensuring the individual's physical and emotional needs are met.
As a support worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives and be part of a supportive and inclusive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing daily support to individuals with learning disabilities
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Supporting individuals with managing finances, including budgeting and bill paying
- Administering medication as required
- Ensuring individuals' physical and emotional needs are met
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., social work, psychology)
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect individuals' autonomy
