Deputy Care Home Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to join our team at a Good rated medium sized residential and dementia care home in Barnsley.

This is a superb opportunity for a Deputy Manager to work closely with the Registered Manager and deputise in their absence, leading a team of carers and unit managers to ensure quality care is given to all residents.

As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and motivating your team, ensuring the excellent quality of care this provider is known for is delivered. You will also be expected to liaise with families, GPs, and other healthcare professionals, demonstrating kindness and professionalism while having a good knowledge of care standards, audits, medication, Dols, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and motivate a team of carers and unit managers.
  2. Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence.
  3. Liaise with families, GPs, and other healthcare professionals.
  4. Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents.

Requirements:

  1. Supervisory/management experience.
  2. A background in care management gained within an elderly care home with a Good CQC rating.
  3. Excellent knowledge of care standards and a passion for dementia care.
