We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team at Wood Care Group. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to care staff, promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.
  • Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day management of the care home, including supervising staff, managing rotas, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that residents receive person-centered care that meets their physical, psychological, and social needs.
  • Support the management function, including supervisions, observations, rota planning, medication audits, and end-of-month medication reviews.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the care home, including participating in staff meetings and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Previous experience working in a care home environment, with a strong understanding of care principles and practices.
  • A committed and organized approach, with the ability to work flexibly, including weekends.
  • NVQ level 3 or higher, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to work on-call within the management team, providing support and guidance to staff as needed.
