About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team at Wood Care Group. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, while also contributing to the overall management of the home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on care and supervision to residents, ensuring their physical, psychological, and social needs are met.
  • Assist with management tasks, including supervisions, observations, rota planning, medication audits, and end-of-month medication reviews.
  • Support the management team in ensuring the smooth operation of the home, including handovers and staff supervision.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, promoting a culture of kindness, respect, and empathy.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you remain up-to-date with best practices in care and management.
Requirements
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Care or a related field (or working towards).
  • Previous experience in a care home environment (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends.
  • Available to work on-call within the management team.
