Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Training Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our training department, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to our care professionals on manual handling techniques, medication administration, and basic care skills.

Salary: The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of approximately £25,000 per year, along with mileage compensation and opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to ensure the safety and well-being of both carers and clients.
  • Teaching basic skills, including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and basic cooking skills, to enhance the quality of care provided to clients.
  • Assessing the training needs of staff and develop tailored training programs to address these needs.
  • Supporting and mentoring Care Professionals to achieve their full potential.
  • Working closely with the office team to ensure all new professionals are fully supported in their first 3 months of employment.
  • Identifying and agreeing additional training or development needed to build competence and confidence of Care Professionals.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with potential and existing clients, their families and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Facilitating introductions between new carers and clients, providing comprehensive training on the practical aspects of delivery.
  • Monitoring client satisfaction, escalating concerns, and producing monthly reports.
  • Identifying and communicating upcoming staffing gaps, engaging in recruitment, and introducing new hires to clients.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar training role, preferably within the healthcare or caregiving sector.
  • Strong understanding of manual handling techniques, medication administration, and basic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate trainees.
  • Certification in manual handling and medication administration training is highly desirable.
  • A driving license and access to your own car.
