Job Overview:

As a skilled Engineering Support Specialist - Radar Systems, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful operation of our radar systems. This position requires a high degree of technical expertise, with a strong understanding of system design, development, and maintenance. You will work closely with our engineering team to resolve technical issues, ensure timely delivery of equipment, and provide exceptional customer service. In this role, you will also contribute to the development of new system designs and improvements, leveraging your expertise in analogue electronics, digital electronics, and RF technologies. About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in supporting complex radar systems, with a proven track record of resolving technical issues and improving system performance. You will be responsible for coordinating engineering life cycle management activities, ensuring that all relevant plans are maintained and up-to-date. Additionally, you will work closely with our manufacturing and supply chain teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely delivery of equipment. Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and have a willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Main point of contact and engineering coordinator for all Blue Kestrel project engineering activities.
  • Coordinate engineering life cycle management activities and annual design review packs.
  • Ensure all relevant engineering plans are maintained and up-to-date by liaising with relevant functions as required.
  • Coordinate and maintain the team engineering action register.
Customer engineering queries.Engineering tasks.Repair scheduling, material and resourcing.Support the manufacturing and supply chain on technical issues.Support module support activities.Track project equipment location, availability and calibration.Ensure contractual equipment and stock appendices for customer assets are monitored and annual visual stock checks are carried out and recorded.Update the weekly SOFT report.Maintain project knowledge documentation.Willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge.Strong attention to detail and a willingness to drive and support continuous improvement.Work under broad direction, with minimal supervision, in challenging technical environments.Manage workload in pressurised environments, across multiple tasks, ensuring a quality output to meet the customer demands.Multi-task and work across several activities at once.Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
