Cloud Engineering Specialist

Lloyds Banking Group is on a mission to accelerate the adoption of next-generation technical platforms, driving one of the UK's biggest financial service transformations. As a Cloud Engineering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in leading and crafting the adoption of Google Cloud Platforms within our organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated engineer to join our GCP Engineering team within the Cloud Adoption Engineering Lab. You will work closely with business units across the bank, supporting the use of public cloud for their applications and helping them engineer and deliver solutions to our customers.

About You
  • You will have proven experience in software engineering and infrastructure, with a passion for technology and dedication to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • You will have first-hand experience of supporting the adoption of, and migration to, public cloud from more traditional technologies.
  • Specifically, we are looking for someone with strong experience across a broad set of GCP services, including at least one of: GCP Compute, Kubernetes & Istio, GCP Networking, Data Services and API Management (certifications desirable).
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the growth of cloud adoption by advising, guiding and implementing industry best practices into consuming teams.
  • Act as a tireless ambassador for public cloud, showcasing strong interpersonal and communication skills.
