Customer Engagement Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Engagement Lead to join our team. This role is critical in driving the further growth and success of our business by developing robust customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering against ambitious order intake targets.

This key figure in the Senior Leadership Team will play an integral role in advancing our position as a trusted technology partner to Public Sector clients across the United Kingdom.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the end-to-end customer engagement lifecycle, from identifying and qualifying opportunities to shaping innovative solutions and securing contracts. They will act as a trusted advisor to our customers, using their deep understanding and relationships across the Defence and Public Sector landscape to offer creative and effective solutions.

  • Establish and maintain a credible pipeline to achieve in-year order commitments, while building a foundation for future growth and delivering on strategic long-term projects and programmes.
  • Build, nurture, and grow relationships with customers and industry partners to secure sales targets and contribute to growth objectives outlined in the business plan.
  • Take ownership to lead and shape opportunities during the early stages of qualification, guiding them through the business development process within Parico through to contract award as needed.
  • Ensure opportunities and our solutions are developed to maximise our customer's outcomes while optimising our competitive and market positions, and that our Intellectual Property is suitably protected and/or utilised.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of four years' experience in Business Development within the Defence industry, with a proven track record in sales.
  • Established professional network within other relevant commercial organisations that operate within Defence, with a strong reputation built upon trust and mutual respect.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to hold a minimum of UK Security Clearance (SC).
  • Hold a UK Driving Licence and have a willingness to travel to client sites.
Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
