Mechanical Systems Engineering Lead

At ZipRecruiter, we are seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineering Lead to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing functional engineering solutions that meet complex cross-functional interactions and requirements. Engaging with suppliers to develop equipment and component specifications is also a key aspect of this role.
This position requires collaboration with customers to develop requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios, use cases, and design considerations. Strong analytical skills are necessary to perform and review engineering calculations and analysis to inform design decisions.
A Degree in Mechanical or Science subjects is required, along with Chartered Engineer status within a recognized engineering institute. Background in Fluid Systems Design is highly desirable.
We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, as well as relocation support packages across all submarine roles. As part of the Mechanical Engineering team, you will contribute to the design and development of critical systems for nuclear submarines.
