We are seeking an IT Service Desk Technician to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional IT support to our clients and users.

The successful candidate will be responsible for recording, diagnosing, and resolving IT-related problems using a call management system, ensuring a high-level audit trail for each call. You will be the first point of contact for our clients and users, setting the tone for service quality and overall customer experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive support via telephone, email, face-to-face, and remote desktop, including IT installations and instructions on tool usage.
  • Managing user accounts and assisting with new starters and moves.
  • Solving problems via email, phone, or in person, and collaborating with the IT team to improve processes.
  • Keeping users informed about their calls and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements include:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and technical competence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with current technologies, including Microsoft Technologies and infrastructure.

Shift patterns will be 8.00am to 4pm, 9.15am to 5.15pm, 10.15am to 6.15pm, and 11am to 7pm, with a pre-planned rota and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances. Normal office conditions apply, with occasional requirements to work outside normal hours and travel between office locations.
