Centre Administrator/Finance Officer

Job Summary:
This exciting opportunity is supporting the new Centre for Net Zero High Density Buildings (CeNZ-HighDB) and will provide administrative and finance support for the delivery across a portfolio of projects and multiple stakeholders. A primary aim of the Centre is to accelerate the green economy outcomes and impacts for the built environment and construction sector to deliver net zero.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting all administration and finance operations of the Centre, including management reports on operations, budgets, and project spend.
- Engaging and working with the Centre team and partners locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Reporting to the Centre Manager to support the Centre's activities, as well as supporting academic colleagues and external stakeholders who are contributing to the Centre's projects and initiatives.
- Working in close collaboration with academic colleagues based in the School of Engineering and across the College of Science and Engineering, Edinburgh Innovations, EFI, academic leads in other UK HE institutions, and industry and civic partners to support the delivery of the strategic and operational objectives of the Centre.
Requirements:
- Experience of finance and administrative support working with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience and knowledge of university or public sector administrative support.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and supporting complex projects.
- Experience of supporting and organising diverse events involving multiple stakeholders.
Working Arrangements:
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
