Aviva's Senior Data Science Position
At Aviva, we're investing in cutting-edge data science to shape the future of insurance. We're seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our high-profile team and lead the way in data-driven decision making.
This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work with one of the richest insurance datasets in the world, applying sophisticated techniques and technology to all stages of the data science process. You'll be responsible for formulating problems, extracting and preparing data, applying modelling, and deploying solutions.
With expertise in Statistics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning & AI, you'll bring several years' experience solving complex non-routine problems. You'll have significant experience in data science processes, including problem definition, data acquisition and wrangling, modelling, feature engineering, and deployment.
A strong track record in programming knowledge, particularly in R, Python, SQL, SAS, or Spark, is essential. Additionally, you'll need the capability to deliver projects, collaborate with operational teams, and explain technical concepts to non-specialists.
In return for your expertise, you'll receive a competitive salary between £40,000 and £65,000 (dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications), plus a bonus opportunity of up to 10% of annual salary. Our generous pension scheme will contribute up to 14%, and you'll enjoy 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to five days.
