Lead Mechanical Engineer for Nuclear Projects

AECOM is a global leader in infrastructure consulting, and we are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead our Nuclear Team. This role will involve managing technical projects, collaborating with industry experts, and delivering innovative solutions.
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing technical leadership and guidance on mechanical engineering projects
- Managing junior-level team members and project reporting
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure high-quality, innovative, and compliant solutions

You will have the chance to work on complex projects, collaborate with top-tier civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineers, and contribute to the development of new technologies.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably to Degree level with Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IMechE or equivalent institute. They will also have demonstrable expertise, current experience working in a post where design was a major part of the role, and extensive post-Chartership experience working in roles where their engineering knowledge of relevant practices, techniques, and procedures is a key attribute.
The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per year, depending on experience.
