Mechanical Engineering Professional

AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead our nuclear team's technical efforts. In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering projects that create a positive and tangible impact around the world. You will provide technical leadership and guidance on mechanical engineering projects, ensuring high-quality, innovative, and compliant solutions. This includes managing junior-level team members and project reporting on their packages of work. Additionally, you will contribute to the client interface, bid preparation, and proposal management. We offer a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £120,000 depending on experience, plus a range of core and personalized benefits designed to support your future and well-being.
This is an exciting time for our Nuclear Team with an interesting and expanding pipeline of both international and UK-based projects. The ideal candidate will have/be: A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, preferably to Degree level with Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IMechE or equivalent institute. Demonstrable expertise with a track record of successful application of specialist knowledge or skills. Current experience working in a post where design was a major part of the role. Extensive post Chartership experience working in roles where your engineering knowledge of relevant practices, techniques and procedures is a key attribute. Able to demonstrate Management of a team or function and in particular within complex or novel assignments. Demonstrable record of successful delivery. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
