Debt Recovery Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our team in Northampton. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the sales ledger and ensuring timely payments from customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chasing overdue payments
- Issuing sales ledger invoices
- Allocating payments to the sales ledger
- Dealing with customer queries
- Creating payment plans
- Setting up new accounts
- Credit checking
- Working to reduce debtor days
- Supplying copy invoices
- Producing monthly debtor reports
- Liaising with relevant contacts to set and analyse credit limits
Requirements:
- Possession of AAT qualifications or degree in Accounting & Finance (not essential)
- Experience in customer services, debt collection, or administration
- Able to commute to the office in Northampton on a daily basis
- A can-do attitude to work and ability to ask questions to get the job done
- Confident telephone manner
- Help other members of the team at busy periods and receive assistance during your own busy periods
