Data Science Consultant Opportunity

DataTech Analytics is partnering with a rapidly expanding data engineering and AI consultancy to deliver transformative data solutions across sectors. As they continue to establish their footprint in the US market, they are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to help drive growth in the private equity space.

This role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious data professional with experience working within the private equity industry. You will leverage your expertise to deliver high-impact data solutions that drive value creation, operational efficiencies, and actionable insights for private equity clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of bespoke data and AI solutions that optimize portfolio company performance, enhance due diligence processes, and support value creation initiatives for private equity clients.
  • Build and manage key relationships with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, acting as a trusted advisor to identify and implement data-driven strategies.
  • Oversee the development of internal and client-facing projects, ensuring the highest standards in technical delivery and business impact.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the growth strategy for the US practice, including the recruitment and development of a high-performing team of data engineers and data scientists.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the private equity sector, leveraging your industry network and insight into market needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Extensive experience in delivering value through data, with a proven track record of working with private equity firms and portfolio companies in the US.
  • Deep understanding of the private equity lifecycle, from due diligence to portfolio management and exit strategies, with the ability to apply data-driven solutions to each stage.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical tools and techniques, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies for operational improvement and value creation.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building and managing high-performing data teams, with a focus on fostering innovation and excellence.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for challenging the status quo and delivering measurable business outcomes for clients.
