Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for developing the Met Office Global Climate Dashboard, a platform that presents accessible, updating information on key global climate indicators. Your tasks will include:

  • Designing and developing the user interface and user experience of the dashboard.
  • Collaborating with our team of scientific software engineers and scientists to ensure the accuracy of the system and develop new metrics.
  • Working with partners in other UK institutions to bring together observations of key climate indicators with projections of future climate.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a STEM subject.
  • Experience in computer coding, including data manipulation.
  • Conscientious and able to demonstrate a careful approach to your work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teammates.
  • Interest in and understanding of climate change.
