About the Role

The Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the field of psychiatry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the field of psychiatry
  • Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff

Person Specification

  • Full GMC Registration
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Additional higher medical/scientific qualification relevant to the specialty
  • GMC Specialist Registration or commitment to obtain via CESR application
  • S12 registered
  • MRCPsych

Communication Skills

  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Evidence of the ability to communicate with patients, colleagues and staff at all levels

Leadership & Management skills

  • Ability to motivate and develop Junior Medical Staff and other MDT Members
  • To Balance individual requirements against those of the Directorate and Trust as a whole
