Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to our patients and contributing to the development of our services.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry and will be able to demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals, and will be expected to contribute to the development of our services and the improvement of patient outcomes.

You will also be responsible for providing clinical leadership and guidance to our team, and will be expected to participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our policies and procedures.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Full GMC Registration
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Additional higher medical/scientific qualification relevant to the specialty (desirable)
  • GMC Specialist Registration or commitment to obtain via CESR application (desirable)
  • S12 registered (desirable)
  • MRCPsych (desirable)

They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to motivate and develop junior medical staff and other MDT members.
