About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to our patients, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our mental health services, including the design and delivery of training programs for staff.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless care pathways for patients.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with the following skills and experience:

  • Full GMC registration and a specialist registration in psychiatry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of leading and managing teams.
  • Strong clinical and leadership skills.
