About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to our patients, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our mental health services, including the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist who has:

Full GMC registration.MBBS or equivalent.Additional higher medical/scientific qualification relevant to the specialty (desirable).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to motivate and develop junior medical staff and other MDT members.
