Job Title: Supervising Social Worker">

We are seeking an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team in Edinburgh, working on a hybrid basis with opportunities for Scotland-wide meetings and training.

This role is part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the recruitment and support of foster carers who provide care to looked-after children and young people referred from the Local Authority.

The successful candidate will work alongside other supervising social workers, children's workers, therapists, education liaison worker, managers, and admin staff to ensure the welfare of children remains paramount.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide support and advice to carers, demonstrating initiative while being part of a team.
  • To ensure the voice of children/young people and carers/adopters is represented through participation and consultation activities.
  • To deliver relevant training to Barnardo's cohort of foster carers and adopters to the relevant standards.
  • To be flexible in responding to the needs of young people, carers, and colleagues.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £36,002 per annum, rising to £37,554 after 6 months.
