Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Fostering Post Approval Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of children and young people in foster care.

Main Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement case plans, working closely with service users and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Manage complex cases, assessing risk levels and developing strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and meetings, contributing to the development of care programs that meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Deliver expert testimony in court and adoption/fostering panels, providing critical insights into the needs and circumstances of service users.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS).
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE) is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK legislation relevant to children and families is essential.
  • Proven experience working with children, young people, and their families is required.

Remuneration

The salary for this position is up to £41,120 per annum, offering a competitive package and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
