As an Academic Program Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our projects run smoothly and efficiently. We're looking for a highly organized and skilled individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and maintain open communication with our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Governance: Support the establishment and maintenance of project governance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to onboard new resources, track and administer ServiceNow tickets, and manage invoices in coordination with the finance team.
- Cost Management: Receive and validate invoices from vendors and update Opex and Capex trackers ahead of key financial meetings.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation plans as needed, and collaborate with programme managers to address concerns.
- Technical Review Administration: Coordinate the Technical Review Board process, collating requests and tracking decisions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including status reports and slide decks required for governance meetings.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, fostering a positive team environment.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with programme managers to develop comprehensive delivery plans and ensure timely completion of projects.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a PMO or project management role
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Awareness of project management software (e.g., Microsoft Office and Jira)
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
