About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a primary school student on a full-time, temporary basis. As a vital member of our team, you will work closely with the student to promote their emotional, social, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a primary school student with SEMH needs
  • Assist with managing challenging behavior and emotional outbursts
  • Support the student in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create a positive, structured learning environment
  • Promote social skills, emotional regulation, and overall well-being
  • Assist with tasks such as preparing resources, taking notes, and supervising during breaks or lunchtime

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
