Physiotherapist Assessment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing individuals with disabilities or conditions and determining how they affect their work life.
As a Functional Assessor, you will use your clinical expertise to conduct thorough assessments, taking into account each individual's medical history and performing physical examinations. You will then produce accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to help determine eligibility for benefits.
This is a unique opportunity to utilize your skills and experience in a dynamic role that requires sensitivity, compassion, and attention to detail. You will have the autonomy to work independently while being part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals with disabilities or conditions
- Use clinical expertise to evaluate the impact of disabilities on work life
- Produce accurate reports for the DWP
- HCPC Registered Physiotherapist with a minimum 12 months' recent broad-based post-registration experience
- Experience in functional assessment and clinical decision-making would be an advantage
- Continuous Professional Development present on CV
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Completion of ECDL or equivalent would be an advantage
- Sound understanding of clinical governance and importance of delivering to agreed customer service levels and targets
- Great oral and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and respond to a rapidly changing environment
- IT skills and experience of using a range of software
- Self-aware and focused on professional development
- Honest and able to maintain integrity and customer confidentiality
- Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect, and sensitivity in assessment delivery
- Able to work on your own initiative to meet deadlines and standards
- Ready to work as a reliable and efficient team member and willing to support the multi-disciplinary team
