About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Buyer. As a key member of our procurement team, you will assist in sourcing and ordering products, ensuring stock levels meet demand while keeping costs down.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in procurement by sourcing and ordering products, ensuring stock levels meet demand while keeping costs down.
  • Build supplier relationships by working with suppliers to negotiate terms, manage orders, and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on market trends, product availability, and pricing changes to help the team make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Learn purchasing processes by understanding procurement systems, contract management, and how to evaluate supplier performance.
  • Manage data by keeping accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and stock levels to help operations run smoothly.
Requirements
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Eager to learn and develop skills in procurement.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with team members and suppliers.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn procurement software.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet and help resolve supply chain issues quickly.
