Role Overview

This Tenant Empowerment Officer role is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of older people in Birmingham. You will work closely with tenants to provide support and guidance, enabling them to live independently and confidently.

Key Responsibilities

  • To empower tenants to take control of their lives by providing emotional and practical support.
  • To manage the administration and maintenance of the building, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • To provide advice and guidance on rent accounts and benefit options, helping tenants to make informed decisions.
  • To identify and address the care needs of tenants, providing direct support in emergency situations.
  • To participate in the void allocation process, showing potential tenants the scheme facilities and re-letting voids as necessary.

Requirements

  • A passion for empowering vulnerable individuals and communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
