About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs, developing tailored strategies to meet their individual requirements.
  • Manage challenging behaviour confidently and professionally, maintaining a calm and supportive environment.
  • Provide academic assistance in Maths, English, and Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Work across mainstream classrooms, alternative provisions, or in one-to-one settings, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to the development of effective support plans.

    Benefits:

    • A competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or Youth Worker.
    • A solid understanding of the UK curriculum, particularly in Maths, English, and Science.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other professionals.
