GSL Education is a reputable education recruitment agency based in North Manchester. We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with students who have social, emotional and mental health needs.
About the SchoolThe school delivers an engaging curriculum that fosters academic achievement, personal development and community engagement. Students with ADHD and Autism receive tailored support to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver targeted support to children with SEMH needs, promoting positive behavior and academic progress.
- Collaborate with teachers to ensure students can access the curriculum and complete academic tasks effectively.
- Engage in relevant professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEMH needs.
- A current Right to Work in the UK.
- At least 6 months experience working with students who have SEMH needs in a school or similar setting.
- An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply.
This position requires a deep understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles. Applicants must be prepared to undergo thorough background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
We estimate the annual salary for this role to be between £25,000 and £35,000, depending on experience.
