We're looking for a skilled Highway Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Tarmac Trading Limited. As a critical member of our operations team, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality highway maintenance services to our customers. Responsibilities
As a Highway Maintenance Specialist, you'll be responsible for carrying out operational duties as part of the provision of a quality highways and street lighting operational service. This includes constructing, maintaining, and performing routine work for a full range of highway apparatus and assets. You'll also be required to work flexibly and attend to emergencies and reactive work outside normal hours when needed. In addition, you'll be responsible for:
- Construction including widening and repairing of roads, cycleways and footways
- Installation and repair of kerbs, edgings, block and flagged paving
- Repairing potholes and cracks in surfacing
- Maintaining roadside verges
- Excavating and reinstating trenches for duct and drainage installation
- Working on the installation and repairs to inspection chambers, road gullies, drainage and ducted systems
- When required, working on excavators, dumpers, rollers and telehandlers
